Access Controls

These cards are factory pre‐coded. Card numbers may, or may not be, in numerical sequence. Proximity cards transmit their information to the card reader without any physical contact. This provides an easy to use vandal resistant system. Access is granted when a valid card is presented to the card reader. Warranty: 2 year limited. Passive card technology provides an unlimited number of "card reads" with no battery to wear out and, unless abused, will last virtually forever. Active Tags will provide an increased read range but use a battery that will require replacement in time (approximately 2-years). Note: cards will work with the following ID‐Teck (old DKS) Prox readers only: 1815‐215, 1815‐216, 1815‐217, 1815‐218, 1815‐230, 1815‐231
